M3-20A, a 3 cylinder engine producing 13.4 kW / 18 hp at 3,600 rpm - details unknown M4-30, also called the Atomic Four diesel, a 52 cu in, 25 hp, 4 cylinder, based on the Kubota Y-850 block, was built from 1988 to 1997.

Offered as a diesel replacement for the original Atomic Four gasoline engine. It was similar to its namesake, since it was a 4 cylinder model weighing slightly less (122 kg / 270 lb as opposed to the original’s 150 kg / 330 lb with reduction drive - the M4-30 was only offered with a reduction drive) and generating slightly less power (18.6 kW / 25 hp at 3,600 rpm as opposed to the original’s 22 kW / 30 hp at 3,500 rpm) with a smaller displacement (850 cc / 52 cu in as opposed to the original’s 1,065 cc / 65 cu in). I believe (90% sure) that all of these engines use the same injectors. My earlier post referenced an injector that cross references to Kubota Part Numbers; 0, 2, 0, 1, 8 However, it's YOUR engine. You should do the research and get to know this stuff. Re: Universal to Kubota Parts list? - I found the Kubota equivalent for my 5411 which is the Z-500 check the dipstick, it should have the Kubota engine # imprinted on it then a call to my local Kubota dealer resulted in a fax from him of the entire engine chapter of his parts book.

I have it in my binder next to my 5411 manual as a cross reference Would you be able to share the info you have on the 5411, It would be great information to have, PM me if you wish Thanks David. There's a definite need for someone to not only stock easily-available parts, but also to get some of the in-demand but unavailable marinised parts made. I am thinking specifically of the Universal exhaust manifolds. My manifold is toast and I'll be d@mned if I'm going to pay $500 for a new one! This is ridiculous!

After inquiring here on sailnet and being warned my engine would turn into a nuclear reactor without the exhaust manifold water jacket I wound up bypassing the manifold jacket entirely (corrosion blocks the internal passages backing everything up resulting in engine overheating) and so far it's never glowed red or set the 'glass deck above it on fire.but sure, I'd like to replace it and have it work as it should, but $500?
