Re: Bayliner 175BR Service Manual It's doubtful there is a Service Manual for the boat. They usually release Service Manuals for the motor. OB will be a single service manual, I/O will have one for the drive and one for the motor. The manufacturer makes the boat, but installs everything in it third party. You'll have to look to each item, like the bilge pump manufacturer for bilge pump service.

Boat manufacturers don't publish all this in a single service manual. I have a few issues with the tach and speedo gauges and I'm just trying to figure out where the signals come from. I assume the tach will come from somewhere on the motor but I'm not sure what style of signal I'm looking for to make sure the tach is getting the correct signal. I also have no idea where it gets the signal for the speedometer. I thought they might have something for the speedo in a service manual. The Tach gets it signal from the engine. The schematic is in the Bayliner link in post #2.

Chrysler 300c 2015 manual. The Speedometer signal is a small plastic hose connected to the outdrive. It is really a water/air pressure gauge re-labeled to display speed. Don't expect it to work very well much below 20 mph.

If the hose is cracked you will be getting water in the boat. Make sure the pickup hole is not plugged. Tilt the drive all the way up and look where the upper an lower unit join. A 2005 should have a quick connect on a hose coming from the upper and connecting to the lower.
